WILCOX-GAY RECORDIO 686/684 SERIES "IMPERIAL" MODEL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (120VT)

This is a original Operating Instructions for the for the Wilcox-Gay "Imperial Model" 684-686 series Tape Recorder.
The Recordio Imperial 686 Model was made from 1955 -1958 I cannot find any info on the 684 model.
This instruction manual has printed 684 with 686 stamped just above it leading me to believe there was not much that changed in the 686.
This 8 1/2" x 5 3/4" 8 page manual is in very good condition with just a few wrinkles. (Please see photos)

The 197-pages covers everything from beginning to the complete finished steel product. This book is in ‘like new’ condition - it has been well cared for these last 64years!!

Vintage 1950's Irish Brand Reel to Reel Tabs & Ad Flyers (025VT)

This is 2 advertising flyers and 16 Reel-Tabs from Orradio Industries Inc. The makers of Irish brand Reel to Reel audio tape.

The Reel tabs I assume attach to the reels to Identify the contents of the tape.
There are 7 for 7" reels and 9 for 5" reels and are unused
The envelope they came in has a Jan 20' 54 Opelika Alabama posted meter stamp on it. Most of the the original mailing label has been torn off. Opelika is where Orradio Industries Inc. was located.

This is the 1952 RCA Reference Book, a 3 3/8" x 5 5/8" 176 page booklet designed to fit in a pocket. 
It's full of all kinds of charts and data for Tubes, batteries, lamp bulbs, test equipment. 
It has RCA Receiving tube charts, Base & Envelope Connections Diagrams for Tubes, RCA replacement battery guide, TV troubleshooting section, descriptions of RCA Test equipment.

Page 104 to the end has 1952 calendar pages meant to pencil in appointments and things to do and the last few pages has color World Maps. I guess it was the 1952's version of a RCA Tech guy's Day Planner. It's in Excellent condition, clean, not written in and no tears to pages.

This 9 ½ x 6", 568 page dark red hard-covered book, with gold lettering, was published by – The American Society for Metals,

© 1940, 7th Printing 1951. The authors are, George Sachs, Dipl., Ing., D. Eng., ‘Case School of Applied Science’, and Kent R. Van Horn, B.S., M.S., Ph. D., ‘Aluminum Co. of America’. The completed title is: Applied Physical Metallurgy and the Industrial Processing of Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals and Alloys. (Now that is a mouthful!). This 550-plus pages book is extensively descriptive in this topic. Included are: Charts, Tables, Graphs, (b & w) photos and illustrations. The book is in amazingly ‘new’ condition – almost inside and out! The only thing you will see is that the former owner wrote in pencil on the inside cover page: "Used In Heat Treating Course, A.S.M. – Detroit ‘57", and that it had once sat on a bookshelf – but, you have to squint to see even that! Also included is a 3-page paper insert reprinted from, "Metals and Alloys, Jan. 1937". The subject is: "The Process and Result of Austenite Transformation at Constant Temperature". It is in black and white and a small graph is included. It has been quarter-folded, and shows some of its age, but it is still in good condition! The book, and insert will be a great addition to any unique collection!

This is a 1955 Heathkit Model A-7D Audio Amplifier Assembly and Operations manual.  It is in great condition for being 60 years old. 

But there just are a few minor issues in this 11" x 8 1/2" 24 page manual.

Dog eared folds on the bottom on most pages ranging form 1/4" to less the 1/16".
Check marks on pages as the builder went through the assembly.
Cover has a 1/4" Scuff Scratch below where it says Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Includes inserts on Corrections to the Manual, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic.

This 9 ½" x 6", dark red hard-covered book, with gold lettering, was published by – The American Society for Metals,

©1935. Revised 1937. This 157 page book is from, "A Series of Five Educational Lectures on the Principles of the Heat Treatment of Steels Presented to the Members of the ASM during the 17th National Metal Congress and Exposition, Chicago, Ill., Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, 1935". The Author is: M.A. Grossman, Director of Research, Carnegie-Ill., Steel Corp., Chicago. This book extensively delves into its subject throughout the 10-plus chapters. Included are: many (b & w) Photographs, References, Graphs, Charts, Figures, and Tables, plus the ‘Appendix’ that covers, "Commercial Heat Treating Operations". Also included with this book is a separate chart – approx. 24" x 15" – that is on, "The Process and Result of Austenite Transformation at Constant Temperature - ©1935. It is in perfect condition, except for the top & side edge of the pages appear slightly darkened from sitting on a bookshelf for 65 years. On the inside of the front cover is the handwritten name of the original owner- "Henry S. Young, Jr. – ‘39", and on the first page, written in the upper right corner, "1.50". On the inside of the back cover is handwritten, "Sodium (?) Phosphates", and on several of the inside pages there are some notations written along the sides of those pages in pencil from the original owner.
