WWII USS Mississippi BB-41 Real Photo Postcard - Unused (028PP)

This is a Real Photo postcard of the New Mexico-class battleship U.S.S. Mississippi from WWII or earlier. 
The U.S.S. Mississippi was commissioned on December 18, 1917 and prior to the US entering World War II she took two trips to Iceland June & September 1941 protections convoys. After Pearl Harbor was attacked she spent 7 months training and escorting convoys along the West coast. Starting in 1943 she participated in numerous operations Including the Aleutian Islands, Peleliu, Leyte Gulf and Okinawa to name a few.
After WWII she underwent conversion to AG-128. She helped launch the Navy into the age of the guided-missile warship when she successfully test fired the Terrier missile on January 28,1953 off Cape Cod. Decommissioned in 1956 was sold for scrap to the Bethlehem Steel Company.

This postcard is in excellent condition and never has been used.

WWII U.S.S. Arkansas BB-33 Real Photo Postcard - Unused (029PP)

This is a Real Photo postcard of the Wyoming-class battleship U.S.S. Arkansas from WWII or earlier. 
The U.S.S. Arkansas was commissioned on September 7, 1912 She saw action in World War I, and in World War II including the D-Day Landings. 
On July 1st.1946, the Arkansas was to have been sunk via atomic bomb as part of nuclear test ABLE, but survived. 
On 25 July 1946, the battleship was also targeted in the United States first underwater nuclear test BAKER at Bikini Atoll, but survived that test also, and had to be scuttled afterwards. 
Decommissioned on 29 July 1946, the Arkansas was struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 15 August 1946.

It contains 12 pictures and unfolds to 28 3/4"

Designed to be mailed to friends or family, the inside flap has the text Greetings from with 2 lines to be filled in if it was mailed.

I'm guessing it might be from the late 1940's.
Below the Greetings From on the flap is the text LAP-47 A Mike Roberts Color Production Berkley 2, Calif.

It's in excellent Condition!

President Gerald Ford unused Postcard (082EV)

This is a postcard made by Capsco Inc., Washington DC. It has the portrait of the late President Gerald R. Ford who was the 38th President. 
He assumed office on August 9, 1974 after Richard Nixon stepped down in disgrace.

Gerald Ford is the only President not elected as President or Vice President. Ford was the first person appointed to the vice presidency under the terms of the 25th Amendment. He was selected by Nixon and Congress to replace then Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned in 1973 for tax evasion charges.

This Postcard is like new and has never been used.

1940s Twelve Postcard Views of Bellingrath Gardens - Original Linen Postcards (050PP)

Bellingrath Gardens is the 65-acre public garden and historic home of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath near Mobile Alabama.

Walter Bellingrath was one of the first Coca-Cola bottlers in the Southeast, and with his wealth built the estate gardens and home.The Gardens opened to the public in 1932, and continue to welcome visitors to enjoy year-round floral pageantry today.

This 12 postcards set from Bellingrath Gardens is complete and in its original envelope.

These Linen cards are 5 1/4" x 4" and have deckled edges. I'm guessing these postcards marked "Made is Switzerland" were done before WWII but sold during the war. 

The stamps on the envelope are Two-3 cent "Win the War" stamps which were in use by the Post Office from 1941-1943.

Postcards are unused and in like New Condition. Mailing envelope is in good condition also but has a couple of stains.

Vintage Silver Springs, Fl Tourist Attraction Souvenir Pennants, Travel Brochure & Postcards (062SU)

This is 3 Souvenirs from the Bygone days of the Tourist Attraction in Silver Springs, FL.
Now
Silver Springs State Park.

The Souvenirs are:
A 1930's Silver Springs, Fl. Travel Brochure. 
2 1960's Silver Springs, Fl Souvenir Pennants and a 1950's - 1960's Souvenir Photo packet.

Travel Brochure folded is 9' x 4" unfolded it's 18" x 16".  It's in very good condition for being over 75 years old. There is a 1/2" dog eared fold on the cover and a 1 3/4" tear where it's folded.

Souvenir Photo packet contains 13 pictures and unfolds to 28 3/4".  Designed to be mailed to friends or family. It's in good condition but one edge of the photo where the flap inserts is torn.

The 2 1960 era pennants from Silver Springs, Fl. Home of the World famous glass bottom boats.  are 12" long  (16" - if you include the ties) and 5 1/4" at its widest.

They're in very good condition.
