The I Hate to Cook Book written by Peg Bracken in 1960 when she was working at an ad agency with coworker Homer Groening father of “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening. They co-wrote a syndicated cartoon called “Phoebe, Get Your Man.” a sort of how-to cartoon about a gal eager to get married. 
When she published The I Hate to Cook Book it was an instant success. With her fresh, irreverent attitude, wit as dry as a martini and as sharp as a knife. The book offered easy and clever ways to approach what millions of woman viewed as domestic drudgery.

This 1960 copy of The I Hate to Cook Book More than 180 quick and easy recipes is a 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" 176 page hardcover with dust jacket. Book is in like new condition with the exception of a small bump on the bottom. The dust jacket has some minor wear on the top and bottom edges with a small 3/4" tear on the bottom left.
